Comedians

Headliner Comedian: Debi Gutierrez

In a world where high-fashion, Botox and intense scrutiny to be the "perfect" wife... mom... woman, Debi Gutierrez bursts into the limelight with a relatable sharp wit, energy and realism that makes it OK to be human again. Her unique combination of observational humor, experience and sincerity leads her audience on a hilarious journey through the ups and downs of parenting and relationships that strikes a cord of truth that makes everyone laugh. Debi has appeared on Lifetime, Showtime, HBO, “Malcolm and Eddie” (as the Ebay Girl), ABC’s “Laughin’ Out Loud” and much more! Whether she's carting the kids to the grocery store, delivering Avon, performing stand-up comedy, or hosting her talk show (“A Place Of Our Own”), one thing remains true of Debi, she is an All America Mom...but with a twist! We are excited to welcome Debi to the LFTC family and are lucky to have her as our 2009 Jacksonville LFTC headlining comedian.

Feature Comedian: Ken Evans

Ken Evans has been entertaining audiences for years with his down-to-earth style that instantly connects with the crowd. Early in his career, Ken won the 'Funniest Person in Florida ' award and since then has been making audiences laugh at comedy clubs around the country and in the Bahamas . He commands the stage and his energy and observational-style comedy make him instantly relatable to every member of his audience. Evans has appeared on NBC's "Ed", "Law and Order" and "Last Comic Standing". He has also been featured in the New York Times and has been an in-studio guest on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Show. His comedy has earned him a spot on Caroline's Comedy Hour and he has opened for Joan Rivers and Weird Al Yankovich. Ken is a veteran of the Laugh for the Cure® circuit. In 2007, he shared his comedic talents at both the Houston and Charlotte LFTC events. He kept those audiences "laughing for a cure" and we look forward to having him perform as the 2009 Jacksonville LFTC feature comedian.
